We understand that raising money for the various charities we support can be difficult, but we've found a way to supplement our efforts! We are now participating in the FundingFactory Recycling Program!
This fundraiser is FREE and simple because there’s nothing to sell, no paperwork to fill out and no deadline. This program is ongoing and accumulates constant income for our efforts. But we won’t get very far without your support. Please bring your empty printer cartridges and used cell phones to our monthly meeting and we’ll take it from there! We will recycle the cartridges and cell phones through FundingFactory to earn money for our favorite causes.
Last year alone, more than 300 million cartridges were thrown away, while 30,000,000 cell phones were tossed or replaced. We’re alleviating the volume of waste that goes into landfills, while collecting cash! Your help is vital to our fundraising success.
We can add to our success by asking our neighbors, family members, coworkers and non-GW friends (are there any??) for that cell phone they just replaced, for that ink cartridge that they just threw away. Remember in the case of laser printer cartridges, that the original factory box and materials are preferred to prevent damage caused in shipment. In the case of cell phones, all that is necessary is the phone and it’s battery, no accessories or documentation required.
FundingFactory also sponsors a businesses support program, where your employer can help out our causes without spending a cent. Prepaid shipping boxes can be sent, free of charge, directly to any business, organization or other facility within the continental United States. Business supporters simply need to load the boxes and leave them for the next UPS pickup.
